The Mokorotlo is Lesotho’s traditional hat woven from grass and worn across the across the country, usually with Lesotho’s Traditional blanket. It is conical in shape, resembling the shapes of the conical mountains that abound the country, and especially Qiloane, the mountain next to Thaba Bosiu in the Maseru district. Today, variations of this hat are being introduced, but this conical shape remains the most common.
